Revision 3 of the Code of Practice on Energy Labelling of Products issued under the Energy Efficiency (Labelling of Products) Ordinance (the “Revised Code”) will take full effect on 30 Sep 2025. For customers who have purchased products covered under the scope of the Revised Code (refrigerating appliances, washing machines and storage type electric water heaters) for delivery on or after 30 Sep 2025, they may be accompanied with new energy labels. The old energy labels may still be displayed on the prescribed products during the transition period, depending on when they are supplied and sold.  For details, please visit the EMSD’s website at http://www.emsd.gov.hk/energylabel or call the public enquiry hotline 1823.
